The VS1 type vacuum circuit breaker features an integrated design of the operating mechanism and the breaker body, resulting in a compact and space-saving design. It can be used both as a fixed installation unit and in conjunction with a dedicated operating mechanism to create a mobile unit. The breaker body is arranged vertically in a cylindrical shape, optimizing the distribution of the electric field and minimizing the phase-to-phase spacing. The vertical arrangement of pole columns significantly reduces the accumulation of dust on the surface.
The main part of the breaker is housed within an insulation cylinder cast using the APG (Aerial Pressure Gelation) process, effectively shielding the vacuum interrupter chamber from external influences. This design ensures that the embedded pole column VS1 circuit breaker is completely free from phase-to-phase flashovers and reduces the risk of surface flashovers in the interrupter chamber. The live part of the entire main circuit is almost entirely isolated from the external environment, providing the circuit breaker with excellent resistance to pollution and moisture.
