500kva intelligent pocket substations, also known as 500 kva box type substations or 500kva compact substations, 500kva mini substations, or 500kva mobile substations. A 500kva intelligent pocket substation has a generally box-like structure comprising three compartments: primary voltage switchgear compartment, 500kva distribution transformer compartment, and secondary voltage distribution switchgear compartment. They are rated at 10 kV or 35 kV AC power gird system. Their characteristics include: small footprint; factory mass production; fast construction speed, convenient to install, aesthetically pleasing, harmonizing with residential areas; strong adaptability, interchangeable, conducive to standardization and serialization; low maintenance costs.
The enclosure of the 500kva intelligent pocket substation is made of either steel plate sandwich layers or composite panels. The top cover is coated with colored sand latex for weatherproofing. The enclosure is designed to be rainproof. Universal doors are designed for monitoring, maintenance, and equipment replacement, which can be opened as double-leaf or single-leaf, with both sides of the transformer compartment featuring doors. The transformer compartment is equipped with rails for transformer movement. The enclosure has ventilation holes and insulation measures, and when necessary, cooling measures are implemented to prevent internal temperatures from becoming too high. The air temperature inside the high and low voltage panel compartments should not cause the temperature of each component to exceed the corresponding standards. Measures are also taken to ensure that there is no condensation inside the enclosure during rapid temperature changes. When ventilation ports are present, dust filtration devices should be installed.
