Simple Structure
11kV 1000kVA dry type transformers have a simple structure, typically consisting of only a core, windings, arc extinguishing equipment, and cooling devices. Additionally, because they do not require oil immersion, the structure is relatively straightforward, eliminating the need for any additional rain protection facilities.
Since 11kV 1000kVA dry type transformers are enclosed in a metal casing with insulating materials, there are no issues with water ingress or insulation problems. In The 11kV 1000kVA dry type transformers, the outermost layer of the core is insulated with silicon steel sheets, while the internal core is directly wrapped and sealed with copper wire. Therefore, dry-type transformers are lighter than oil-immersed transformers. Under equivalent capacity conditions, lighter transformers have smaller volumes, resulting in better operational safety.
Low Noise
11kV 1000kVA dry type transformers do not produce significant noise under no-load conditions. However, when the transformer operates at high load levels, noise increases, primarily due to the presence of gaps between the 11kV 1000kVA dry type transformer's core and its casing, resulting in magnetic leakage and noise generation. Additionally, the large surface area of the core can lead to noise when the temperature rises and the air between the core and casing heats up. Furthermore, gaps between the core and casing also contribute to noise generation.
Therefore, using an efficient winding method can reduce transformer noise.11kV 1000kVA dry type transformers do not require oil immersion, so they do not generate significant eddy current and magnetic leakage during operation, reducing noise.
