The 630 kVA epoxy resin dry type transformers have a core structure similar to that of oil-immersed transformers. For larger capacities, there are ventilation passages within the core. The coil conductors inThe 630 kVA epoxy resin dry type transformers are typically made of double-glass-covered wire or high-temperature-resistant enamel-covered wire. They often use Class B insulation and Class H insulation. Since the transformer body is exposed to the air, the coil is not only impregnated with insulating varnish but also coated with moisture-resistant paint.The 630 kVA epoxy resin dry type transformers have ventilation holes on their enclosures.
(1) Open type: The transformer body is in direct contact with the atmosphere and is suitable for relatively dry and clean indoor environments. Small-capacity transformers use air self-cooling, while larger-capacity ones use forced air cooling.
(2) Encapsulated type: The internal structure is isolated from the external atmosphere and can be used in harsh environments, such as in mining transformers. Due to the sealing, their heat dissipation conditions are poor. They can also be filled with gases, such as sulfur hexafluoride, which have better insulation strength and heat dissipation capabilities than air, and use forced circulation. In this case, the insulation and heat dissipation capabilities of dry type transformers can be compared to those of oil immersed transformers.
(3) Cast resin type: Cast with epoxy resin or other resins as the main insulation, these transformers have a simple structure and a small volume. They are suitable for medium to small capacity products.
The 630 kVA epoxy resin dry type transformers are mainly used in places where fire safety requirements are high, such as underground railways, public buildings, and indoor workshops. The relative humidity in the environment where dry-type transformers are installed should not exceed 70% to 85%.
