1.Preventing Lightning Strikes: During adverse weather conditions such as strong winds, heavy rain, or thunderstorms, a power transformer's resistance to lightning can become compromised, making it vulnerable to failure due to damage to its insulation properties. Therefore, maintenance for power transformers should place a high emphasis on preventing failures caused by lightning strikes. First and foremost, effective lightning protection and lightning rod systems should be installed at elevated positions around the power transformer.
2.Ensuring Proper and Safe Grounding: It is essential to ensure the correct and safe grounding of power transformers.
