(1) All components and the main body of the 2 mva step down power transformer must be securely fastened.
(2) Electrical connections must be in good condition; the connection between the aluminum conductor and the 2 mva step down power transformer should use copper-aluminum transition joints.
(3) Transformer grounding is typically shared by the low-voltage winding neutral point, the housing, and its valve-type lightning arrester. Grounding must be solid, and the grounding wire should have disconnectable connection points.
(4) There must be no combustible materials in front of the explosion-proof vent of the 2 mva step down power transformer.
(5) Doors in underground transformer rooms, doors between the transformer room and the distribution equipment room, and doors between transformer rooms must be fire-resistant doors.
(6) Oil-immersed transformers installed in residential buildings should not exceed 400 kVA in single-unit capacity.
(7) The distance from the 10 kV 2 mva step down power transformer casing to doors should not be less than 1 meter, and the distance from walls should not be less than 0.8 meters (should not be less than 1.2 meters when equipped with operating switches).
(8) When using natural ventilation, the ground level of the transformer room should be 1.1 meters higher than the outdoor ground.
(9) Outdoor step down power transformers with a capacity of not more than 315 kVA can be pole-mounted, while those above 315 kVA should be platform-mounted. Both primary and secondary leads should use insulated conductors. The bottom of pole mounted transformers should be at least 2.5 meters above the ground, and the bare conductors should be at least 3.5 meters above the ground. The transformer platform height generally should not be less than 0.5 meters, its fence height should not be less than 1.7 meters, the distance between the transformer casing and the fence should not be less than 1 meter, and the distance between the transformer operating face and the fence should not be less than 2 meters.
(10) The doors and fences of the transformer room should have clear signs saying "Stop, High Voltage Danger!"
